UNESCO - 2013. This paper discusses the status of secondary education in the Asia-Pacific region. It provides a regional synthesis based on country surveys, case studies and secondary data analysis on the financing of secondary education.
ILO News, Dhaka, 14 December 2013 - The European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh William Hanna yesterday handed certificates to a group of the total 8000 apprentices across Bangladesh who recently completed skilled apprenticeships. Just three years ago, there were only 98 apprentices registered under the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET). Introducing apprenticeships and their up scaling has been a key initiative of the TVET Reform Project, supported by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and funded by the European Union (EU).
Regional Cooperation Platform News (online), 13 December 2013 - The UNESCO-RCP research workshop on transferable skills in TVET took place on the 26th October at Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
