UNESCO, Kabul, 19 January 2014 - The launch of the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Strategy is a watershed for the provision of vocational training and skills development in Afghanistan. Most importantly the strategy marks a renewed commitment to a coordinated approach to TVET and is a guiding document for all stakeholders to strengthen the four main pillars of the TVET system: governance, access, quality and financing.
