TVET experts from Australia, Germany, India, Philippines and the Republic of Korea discussed and analysed the various aspects of changing TVET in ageing societies. This publication is the result of the meeting. It contains the presented papers and comments by discussants. This publication will be of interest to TVET policy makers, researchers and practitioners who are beginning to think about the implications of ageing societies for TVET.

This international meeting on Technical and Vocational Education and Training in an Ageing Society, took place in October 2006 in Adelaide, Australia. The meeting was organized jointly by UNESCO-UNEVOC, the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), Australia, the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) and the Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC).
